JustAnswer.com is an online legal services company. They have professional lawyers to answer your question at a substantially lower cost than any regular lawyer. They normally charge about $50 dollars per section, which is very low when comparing to a visit to a lawyer. You can also ask as many questions as you want in any one section until you get the answer that you are satisfied before you pay. They even have an option where you can just walk away without paying after you get your answer. It is totally an honest system providing a risk-free service for business. However, there are a few catches here:
1. Answer is subject to error
I have seen certain complaints about their answer not being correct and no refund was paid. You have to agree that the answer you got from them is only an opinion from the lawyer which, while they try their best to ensure the quality of the answers, are subject to errors. So if you use their services, you'll have to do extra homework to ensure the answer you got from them is correct.
2. Some questions are not answered
Although JustAnswer.com seems to have a good-size pool of lawyers working for them, I have my own personal experiences where one of my question was not answered (I asked two in total as of this writing). If you need immediate and reliable legal advices, there will be risks where you cannot obtain the urgent answer you need.
3. Untold subscription fee SCAM
Worst of all, they will charge you subscription fee for monthly unlimited questions WITHOUT any notice. When registering an account on their website, you will be asked for your credit card information where you would be told that you wouldn't be charged unless you're satisfied with the answer. However, from my own and thousands of others' experiences, I almost got charged from the unnoticed monthly subscription fee that I didn't sign up. Big Scam. If you have ever decided to use their service, please ensure that this monthly subscription option is checked off from your account.
JustAnswer.com is indeed a decent way to resolve legal issues without paying costly legal fees. However, extra care must be taken when using their service.
